Q. How effective are the internal thresholds?
A. Extremely effective. The thresholds guarantee against heat loss while also preventing draughts. Smoke proofing is also an important safety feature and sound- proofing is an additional quality.

Lasting / Durability

Q. For how long does the magnetic system work perfectly?
A. The Magnetic strips are fully guaranteed for 20 years and have been proven in all cases to function satisfactorily much longer.However for correct functioning, it is essential that the two magnet strips be installed in parallel, i.e. in a straight line one above the other so that the
magnet pull is not diminished.

Dust/ Dirt

Q. Can dust and dirt impair the functioning of the threshold?
A. No. Both the internal and external thresholds have magnetic strips, which can be easily
removed and cleaned, normally with a damp cloth. The Threshold's channel can be vacuum
cleaned effortlessly. During construction work, an additional aluminium cover strip protects the external threshold on site ensuring that no dirt or grit hinders the functioning of the threshold.
When all construction work is completed the aluminium protective cover strip is removed and
the magnets replaced.

Maximum and Minimum Gap Beneath the Door

Q. What is the Maximum Gap beneath the door leaf and the top of the magnetic strip?
A. The Gap should not exceed 6mm. A larger gap will reduce the effectiveness of the magnetic pull.

Q. Is there a Minimum distance between the upper and lower magnetic strips?
A. No. But a gap between 1 and 4mm. provides the best functional condition.

Temperature Conditions

Q. Does temperature impair the magnetic function?
A. The composition of the material in the magnetic seal ensures that neither heat nor cold,
in no way affects the threshold's magnetic functioning.

Q. Can frost and ice affect the magnets?
A. No, because the two magnetic strips seal tightly and therefore cannot freeze to each other. Furthermore any frost on the strips can be easily cleaned.

Q. Can the magnetic thresholds be used on old and new doors?
A. The thresholds are suitable for all doors and are ideal for renovations.

Floor Conditions (internal)

Q. What happens if the floor is uneven?
A. Due to the flexibility of the magnetic strip, unevenness in the floor is not an issue.
